5 Most Wanted Drones for Shooting Aerial Photos and Videos

For any filmmaker or aspiring photographer getting that top notch photo or clip is grand! Getting that angle perfect? Even better. But for a lot of them, what makes a picture or a scene one of a kind is the angle and direction of where it’s captured, and getting that moment quite right is mostly tricky. So the question is, what if there are landscape shots that you want to take; for example, a whole vicinity of a chosen scenery? A shot from above, maybe? That will prove to be quite difficult for just an ordinary camera.

3D Robotics 3DR Iris+ Multicopter

This 5” high and 3” wide drone has unique qualities to it. It’s quick and ready to fly by once the battery is charged to its fullest and that you can remove its tall carbon fiber legs when attaching the camera, you can also connect its controller to your iOS or Android device. Aside from that, it has a mode called Follow Me as you can smoothly glide as it follows you around through the beacon of your GPS-enabled device.  Only downside to this drone is that it does not come with a camera.

UDI U818A Quadcopter with Camera

Considered to be a great starter drone and one of the most recommended camera drone due to the fact that this item has a low entry price. It’s actually pretty lightweight which llows for easy maneuvering but beware of winds because managing is a handful. The durability is also perfect for beginners because even its design allows users easy installation and repair it. It’s camera records by a 640 x 480 resolution, while its flight time is average compared to the high-end drones.

DJI Phantom 3

This drone is known for its flight capabilities such as being able to ascend at 13mph speed tops while it can also glide horizontally at a speed of 35mph. Live viewing is achieved with a 14 MP 1080p camera, and shooting full resolution video while also simultaneously recording on an internal micro SD card. You can also enable control on your iOS and Android device through the DJI Pilot app. DJI Phantom 3’s fly time is approximately 23 minutes.

Parrot Bebop Drone

This drone is equipped with a full 1080p video camera which captures stills at 14 MP and video at 30 FPS. The camera allows you to obtain beautiful panoramic shots through its fisheye lens which is the most attracting feature of this drone. The flight time of the Parrot Bebop is an estimated time of 11 mins, but it also comes in hand with a second battery which if you add it up equates to 22 minutes of flight time. Flight speed goes in at a 31 mph. but the most notable quality of this drone is its easy controls and how it responds well through your Android or iOS device using the app Parrots FreeFlight 3.

Heli-Max 1SQ RTF Quadcopter

If you are looking for a cheaper-yet-great model, aside from the UDI U818A, the Heli-Max is another drone that you can take a look at. The most prominent feature is its flight capabilities considering that it has Triple Axis Gryo Stabilization and can stand up to winds that reach 5 mph. For the controls, the Heli-Max has a 6-channel 2.4GHz radio transmitter. The disadvantage is that  it does not have a camera nor a remote included.
